Terms and Conditions
Any Reservation made with Bhutan Neoly Travels, the Tour Operator and Travel Agent based in Thimphu,the capital city of Bhutan will be governed by and subject to these Terms & Conditions. No variation to these Terms and Conditions shall be of any effect unless made in writing by and with the authority of Bhutan Neoly Travels.

Liability
The liability of Bhutan Neoly Travels has limited and shall be exempt from all liability in respect of any sickness, injury, loss, damage, accident, delay or inconveniences which may occur either by reason of defect, or from any cause beyond the control of Bhutan Neoly Travels. Bhutan Neoly Travels can accept no responsibility for the loss or additional expenses due to delay or alteration in schedule or other causes. Bhutan Neoly Travels and its suppliers reserve the right to cancel or rescheduled any tour itinerary by reasons or whatsoever including but not limited to logistical and other travel arrangement problems that may obstruct the tour operation. If the trip is cancelled, the money received will be refunded in full.

Payment
All tours must be pre-paid except otherwise stated. Once the tour reservation has been confirmed, Bhutan Neoly Travels will provide the secure and safer mode of payment.

Travel Insurance
Though Bhutan is a peaceful country and crime rate is very low, we still recommend you to purchase adequate travel and medical coverage insurance from your respective country before your departure to Bhutan , including the insurance coverage for the delay or loss of luggage, personal effects and travel documents.

Baggage
The following items are exempted from customs duty :

Cancellations
Tour programmes booked and subsequently cancelled shall be subject to cancellation charges as follows:

  • within 30 days of start of programme - free
  • within 21 days - 10% of rate
  • Within 14 days - 15% of rate
  • Within 07 days - 30% of rate
  • Less than 07 days or without notice - 50% of the rate
  • After arrival in Bhutan - 100%

Tour Surcharges:
Individual tourist and smaller groups of less than three persons shall be subject to surcharge, over and above the minimum daily rates applicable, as follows:

Single Surcharge: USD 40.00 Per Person Per night
Group of 2 Person: USD 30.00 Per Person per night

Airport Tax:
Airport tax of Nu/500.00 or USD 15.00 per person is payable at the time of departure. It is subject to change

Getting There:
Druk air, the national airline of Bhutan operates with connection from Kolkatta, Delhi, Dhaka, Bangkok and Kathmandu. It is possible to enter & exit Bhutan by overland transportation, stopping en-route at Sikkim and Darjeeling (India).

What to Bring
Personal clothing: Strong, normal clothing (According to the season), preferably cotton for summer and woolen clothing for evening and winter. For Trekking strong comfortable trekking boots, warm socks, sunglasses, headgear, raincoat, and warm clothing, including a down Jacket for higher altitude treks and for the evenings. A sleeping bag is a most; medium too heavy is advised. (Note: for trekking, a load of 25 kg is allowed) .

Accommodation: Hotels and tourist lodges in Bhutan are comfortable but not luxurious. Although recently a few luxury hotels have been established in Bhutan, visitors in general can expect an unique combination of traditional Bhutanese style together with modern services, but not international five-star luxury all over Bhutan! Clean and well maintained, most of the hotels are equipped with telephones, fax machines and long distance service. The food offered to the visitors is carefully prepared to suit the western taste combining Bhutanese food and western dishes.

Hotels and lodges are categorized by the Royal Government of Bhutan. International visitors will be accommodated in hotels only which fulfill the standards set by the government. Some of the more simple lodges have a special charm of their own, and convince with the traditional warm Bhutanese hospitality.
